    Marriages 36-9-'38
It was an old custom that a shoe should be thrown after the married couple for luck. On the night of the wedding they boys dressed themselves up and tied straw ropes round them and went round gathering money. June is the luckiest month for getting married. It was an old custom that the bride should wear something borrowed. Side-cars and men on horseback were usually at the drivening home.
