  2. June is said to be the luckiest month of the year to get married. Side cars and horses that was used for driving home. The people lit sheafs of straw on the roads. Old shoes were thrown after the couple for luck. The bride was to wear something borrowed. The people round the place dressed themselves up and went to the houses looking for money. Straw boys came also singing and dancing.
