a farmer's house. He was a great prophet. He made many propecies. In later years all his prophicies came to be true. He spent a night in every house. He was also a great singer. He sang lovely songs about Ireland. He also told many stories about fairies. He was well liked by the people.
Long ago there were many holy men in Ireland. They were not beggermen although they had the appearance of them. Long ago when the Penal Laws were in force in Ireland, the Catholics were fired out on the roads. The Monks rather than give up their religion fled from their Monasteries. They dressed themselves up as beggars. They travelled through Ireland. One of them travelled this district. There was a child suffering from ringworm and he cured her.
Other man travelled through Ireland selling jewelery. One of them visited this district, a few times. He wore a leather bag on his back. In this watch bag he carried watches and clocks. He also repaired old clocks and watches. He was not a begger
