  1. Long ago the people used to have a lot of old stories. One morning a man was going to the fair and he had a horse and cart. On his way to the fair the horse stood on the road and would not walk for him. The man did not see anything on the road at first. Then he saw a turkey cock on the road. The man got a stick to beat the horse but the horse would not walk for him. Then the man followed the turkey cock. The turkey cock went in to a field. The man then went to bring the horse to the fair but the horse would not cross the road where the turkey cock passed. Then the man
