  1. Long ago it was said that a man lived in a lonely place by himself. One wet day when he was in his cottage a man came and told him that he would die when three kings would come to visit him. One day the three kings came to visit him. He was not pleased when he saw them. He told them that he would be dead before morning. The kings laughed at him and told him that nothing could happen him while they were there. The man then went under a tub. The kings then ate and drank and were merry. While they were eating a knock came to the door. The kings asked, who is there. A poor shepherd boy who wants shelter was the reply. When he came in the kings offered him food and drink but he would not take it. After a while the boy took a musical pipe from his pocket and he began to play it. The kings soon fell
