  2. A lion chanced to be resting in a field one day. An ass brayed very loudly and frightened the lion. The lion ran away and the ass went after him. There was much chasing in the field. At last the lion turned back to see the big animal that was after him. The lion turned back and tore the ass to pieces. That the ass throught was his bravery was only his ruin.
