We then see that a county team was not composed of the pick of the players of the various teams, but the team that won the county championship.Cappataggle hurling teams were twice county champions and New Inn once reached the final to be beaten by Cappataggle. The game was played in Kiltulla before a large crowd. There were 18 players on each side and the game lasted for one and a half hours.(continues on next page)
