    curing this disease.
    Pains in the side were cured by the application of a poultice of boiled chicken-weed to the affected part, and a well-known remedy for kidney trouble was the drinking of water in which the roots of the dandelion weed has been boiled.
    For sores pimples etc. a spit applied before breakfast for nine consecutive mornings to the sore was used as a remedy.
    Milk left by the ferret when eating was a cure for whooping cough.
