  1. My Home District
    The name of the town-land in which
    I live is called Derrynamanagh It is in the parish of New Inn and in the barony of Kilconnell.
    There are seven families residing there making a population of about forty people.
    The most common family name is Ward, and the majority of the houses are slated and of recent erection
    The town-land got its name from an old monastery which was built here in former times, hence the name
    Oayn na Manacr the Oak of the Moks.
