- Marriage Customs In olden times the marriages were different to the way they are now. At that time the man used to go to the girls house and he used to bring her from the house to the church on horseback. When the marriage used to be over they would come home and have their breakfast.
The people would break a cant of oaten meal bread on the girls head when she would be coming in the door of the house. Rice is also threw on the bride's head. They would have a dance(continues on next page)- Collector
