You brave Irish people Where e're ye may be,

    (continued from previous page)
    V.
    God help the mother
    Who reared up the child,
    And also the father
    Who laboured and tiled,
For to try to support them
    He worked night and day
And when they are reared up
    They then walk away.
    VI.
When they put their foot on the ship
    When leaving the strand
    They gave one look around
    To their own native land
And their hearts they were breaking
    For leaving the shore
Saying good bye to old Ireland
    We will never see more.
