    Here is another Ballad of the Land League days :-
    I
    The very first scene, that met my view,
    Was saddening I declare,
    It was Captain Moonlight I beheld,
    Whose doings are so queer.
    The blackfaced man cannot be blamed,
    If the Land Lords drop their tricks
    The Captain would not be alive,
    In the year of '86.
    II
    The next scene was Saunders Fort,
    With the forces of the Crown.
    Evicting that bold Irishman
    Near the famous Loughrea town.
    For his home he fought most manfully,
