In Loughrea long ago the Coach - a - Bower was heard but was not visible.

Sean Ryan, told by his grandmother, Church St., Loughrea aged 60.
In Loughrea long ago the Coach-a-Bower was heard but was not visible. It was hear about midnight, and people who had retired awoke to hear the unmistakable clatter of a carriage. It stopped outside the Protestant Church, for the clatter ceased at it's gates. It has not been heard from the past ten years.
In an old forge not far from here every night light was seen and noise heard after midnight. It was said that the fairies haunted the place.
