    Cuimhin liom an cleas seo mar leanas: Gheibheadh duine píosa luaidhe a bhíodh istigh bosca tae. Chuireadh sé síos sa sáspan cun é a meilt. Nuair a bhíodh sé meilte aige, gheibheadh sé eochair dorais. Chuireadh sé an eochair os cionn fó cupán ar an mbórd agus do stealleadh sé an luaidhe meilte trid an eochair agus cibé cuma a thógfadh an luaidhe sin é an slighe beata a bheadh ag duine sat-saoghal.

  2. Last night my grandmother told me a grand story about a blacksmith of long ago. It was just twelve o clock one Christmas Eve night when the bells were ringing the Blacksmith noticed a ghostly glimmer in the darkness. Then a tall. stooping old man carrying a scythe over his shoulder stepped forward. to the blacksmith's forge and begged him to drive a nail into his scythe. Delighted to get this unexpected job the blacksmith proceeded to drive in the nail when suddenly he felt his hair bristle with horror and a cold sweat broke out on his brow.
