  1. Food in Olden Times
Long ago the people used to eat only two meals in the day. In the morning they used to do a lot of work before they eat anything. Then they would eat a couple of cants of oaten bread. They used to drink goat's milk. The bread as made with water and baked on a gridiron which was left against a few sods of turf. Very little meat was used. The people used to eat a lot of fish but no vegetables. They had no china cups that time but ones made of timber called noggins.
