  1. Long ago there were many cases where the girl or boy never saw each other until they arrived at the Church the very day that they were to be wed. The friend of both parties would be there in side-cars, common cars, some on horse-back and even some in donkey carts, who after the marriage would escort the bridal party the longest way to the bride's home, where everything was in readiness for great celebrations eating, drinking, dancing, and singing which was often carried on until late next
