car which the used to make out of rushes.
The Stoney Island men let the Bonhams out around the car and they tied the poor innocent man in under the Kish in the car. Now this man had a terrible wild horse so they lashed the horse with a whip and they let him gallop up the road.
When the horse was about a mile away he hit the rampart and he turned the car and the man was found unconscious on the road in under the car with his two legs and his arm broken. They took about twenty pounds off him.
After this the fair in New-Bridge was abolished, hence this bridge has always been called bloody-Bridge or Pass if you can.
