    A very good cure for a hiccough is to frighten the person who has the hiccough.
    A hairy maggot found accidentally if enclosed in pouch hung round the neck of person suffering from whooping cough is a cure as the maggot declines the cough disappears.
    If a bit of fat bacon is rubbed on a wart, then make a parcel of the bacon and leave it someplace where it will be seen, the first person that finds the parcel will get the wart from the first person.
