  1. It was on Good Friday the afternoon,
The Jews came in with spears so sharp,
To pierce Our Blessed Saviours tender heart,
The blood gushed out from heart to hand,
By Him our Blessed Mother Mary did stand,
She said those who repeat this prayer,
Three times by day, three times by night,
Shall never died in mortal sin,
The gates of hell shall never be opened,
    To let them in.
