    They used to go out and gather a fistful of rushes and cut them into small pieces.
    Then they used to get a bear and skin him. They used make the tallow inside the skin into a hard lump.
    Then the used to boil it in an oven for about a half an hour. When it would be a little soft they would take it up and rub it on the rushes about twelve times. Then they would have the candles made.
