    A few years ago a man named Martin Boyle was coming home from a wake in Ballyargadaun about three o'clock in the morning.

    Long ago there was a police-man buried near the factory in Leitrim

    Long ago there was a police-man buried near the factory in Leitrim. He haunted the place for many years. James MacNamara from Lisnagry works in the factory. He is a carpenter.
    One night John Moylan, from Limehill was going home from the shop about twelve o'clock. When he was passing the factory he heard the sound of a hand-saw as if it were cutting timber inside. He thought it was JamesMacNamara cutting timber to make a car.
    He went to the door to look in but he could not see anybody. He lighted a match but a breeze of wind quenched it before he could see anything. He lighted all the matches he had but they were all quenched.
    Then he went home. On his way he met two lights which stopped before him. He tried to get out of their way but every side he went the lights were before him.
    At last he sat down and fell asleep
