  1. 1. The swallows go in Autumn to a warm climate and return in May. They build their nests in roofs of sheds.
    2. The corn-crake comes in May or June and lays her eggs in a nest in meadows, and has the young ones reared about the end of July.
    3. The crows begin to build their nests in rookeries the first of March, and then they go in couples. The nearest rookery around here is above in Brookfield.
    4. The owl builds his nest in old ruins.
    He sleeps in the day and comes out at night.
    5. The snipe builds his nest in bog lands.
