  1. About 500 years ago there lived in this village an old woman who had a very deep-rooted belief in the fairies and spirits. She used to say that in the night time when all was quiet the fairies used to come and assemble around the bed.
    Herself and the fairies were so well acquainted that she used to spend hours in conversation with them. So strong was her belief in the existence of spirits that she often told the people that
