  1. 1. There is a great many wild birds around this locality. The water hen comes around here about the month of December. She builds her nest on the water's edge.
    2. The cuckoo comes to this part of the country at the end of April. She builds no nest at all but goes in to some other bird's nest.
    3. The crane builds her nest in a heronry. The curlews come when there is hard weather in Scotland and England. The curlews build their nests on the flat ground in a field or bog.
    4. The starling goes to sleep in the reeds on the Shannon. The robin build her nest in an old.
