  1. 1. Once upon a time there was a man by the name of Peter Moran going around this place. He had no home. This night there was a threshing in Conicare and he was at it. He was feeling very dry. He stooped down to get a drink. It seems he overbalanced himself and fell into the well.
    2. The next morning a girl found him standing on his head in the water. They rose him and buried him in Abbey churchyard. Afterwards they covered that well and they opened another.
