  1. 1. Long ago there were fairies seen in the wood in Pallas. There was a man one night and as he was coming home from cuairt he heard music in the wood.
    2. He got very frightened and he looked in towards the wood and could see nothing. He looked in again and saw people dressed in white with red caps walking through the trees in the wood.
    3. There was nobody on the road at this time as it was about half-past twelve at night. This man had a bicycle and as he rode along he heard a step behind him, he looked back but could see
