    1. Long ago the landlords were around this place. Nobody was allowed to plough lea land. If the landlords knew of anyone that ploughed lea land they would make them turn it down again.
    2. They found out a few people in Conicare and they made them turn it down again. If they didn't go work the day they were told the landlords would drive their cow into the pound.
    3. Themselves would only have 4d each day, and when they went for their cow in the evening they had to pay 6d. The 4d a day they got the landlords had it on
