- The people now a days have nearly all the old sayings forgotten except the old age pensioners. Long ago when two old people used to meet they would always start with an old saying. Some of the old sayings are Its time enough to bid the divle good morrow when you meet hi. Its time enough to a bad market. A rolling stone never gather moss. A new broom sweeps clean. Quench coals is easy kinled. When an old person would see anything new on each other the would say well wear or long you me live to wear it.
