  1. Black Cats in Coole.
There was a man working in Coole. one evening two girls went in cycling and they left their bicycles on the avenue. The man wanted a bicycle to go to town so he stole one of them.
When he was going out the ate he saw two bug black cats. They had eyes as big as a lantern. They began speaking Irish to him.
They would not let him pass with the bicycle so he turned and went another road and the cats were before him again, He tried to cross the fields, and the cars were ahead of him all the time. He left the bicycle back where he got it and never saw the cats since.
This was told to me by my father - William Moran,
    Ballynamantan,
