  1. A toothache was locally cured by rubbing a frog to the decayed part of the tooth.
    Thrush was cured by a child that never saw his father. He would come fasting on a Monday morning and blow his breath three times on the "thrush".
    Long ago when the first boy in the house was born he was brought out and put under the asse's legs in order that he would grow up strong.
    It was also believed that a child under ten years that had the whooping cough would be cured by being put under a grey horse's legs.
