  1. There is hardly any district in Ireland in which stories of hidden treasures are not heard. In olden times there is said to be a crock of gold hidden by an old priest in a graveyard in Kinvarra. It was in it many years and nobody could find it. But, however, a man heard where it was hidden. One morning he got up very early and went to the spot where it was hidden. He went to dig it up and as soon as he did a man appeared dressed in white.
    As soon as the man saw him he got frightenend and he ran away. Since then he tried it many times but at long last he got a slap from the man. He went away from Kinvarra and ever
