    My two uncles with what strength remained in them strived to save any articles of worth which still remained in the debris. After some time of heroic efforts they saved some of the furniture, and all the stock which lay in the outhouses.
    As the sun rose in the heavens, this scene of tyranny came to an end in conversation but not in memory.
    The following year my old grandfather and grandmother were laid to rest in the peaceful churchyard of Dooras where they now await the resurrection.
