    Nettles.
People boil nettles in the Summer time and give them as food to young ducks. You should not give them the seeds or they would kill them.
When vegetables are scarce in early summer some people eat young nettles (instead of cabbage) with bacon.
    Dock-leaf.
The juice of this plant is a well-known cure for the sting of a nettle.
    Sheep-root.
Sheep-root is a plant which grows in rocky places. It is a tall plant with wide leaves. Long ago the people pulled it and brought it home. They took the leaves off it and washed them. Then they boiled them with water and gave the juice to drink to people with a cold.
    The “forum” leaf.
The “forum” leaf is a cure for a burn. It grows on a rock. The people warm it to the fire and clap it with their hands and then put it to the burn.
