    30. To cure a heart-burn mix a spoonful of bread soda with a glass of water and drink it.
    31. To cure sore eyes wash them in tea water.
    32. To cure a sty in your eye stab it with a thorn of a gooseberry bush.
    33. To cure a lump in your forehead make the sign of the cross three times over it with the thorn of a gooseberry bush.
    34. Put a burning coal in the water in which you wash your feet to cure you of corns.
    35. To cure corns walk out barefoot in the dew in the morning.
