    1. If you had a cut in your finger get a cobweb and put it to it and it would stop the blood.
    2. If you had a pain in your side put the churn cup to it.
    3. If your nose was bleeding put the key of the door down your back and it would stop the blood.
    4. If you had a sore throat put roasted potatoes into a stocking and put it round your neck.
    5. If you had a pain in your stomach mix soot with water and drink it and it would give you relief.
    6. To cure sore eyes walk three times round a rock containing a pool of water.
    7. To cure warts you must rub a snail to them.
    8. To cure a sty in your eye put a gold ring round it.
    9. To take a thorn out of your hand rub a fox's tongue over it.
    10. To cure a corn put a layer of breadsoda over it and over this pour a small drop of vinegar.
    11. An ointment made with fresh butter and the yolk of an egg would cure a burn from hot water.
    12. To cure a toothache put soot and salt
