  1. The Churn is for churning milk. There are different kinds of Churns. When a person is churning he gives everyone in the house a while churning. Sometimes a coal is put under the churn so they would have a lot a butter. When the Churning is done they make the sign of the Cross around the Churn. If a person comes in while the churning is going on it is said that he should not go out until the churning would be finished.
