  1. The only fenian tale told in this district is about two fenians that had a fight. They stood on two high hills and they pelted stones at each other. The names of these hills is Mara Gan Uair and Mount Mary there is five miles distance between them.
The man that stood on Mount Mary fired one stone and it rested in Sheep Walk the second one rested in Carthys farm and the third one rested where his opponent stood.
The track of five fingers are to be seen in one of the stones yet.
