  1. Long ago hurling was a common game. A parish of boys gather together and they meet another parish of boys on a Sunday or a holiday.
    No referee was at the match. The hurls were made from ash, a piece of ash was got with a turn on its top the piece of ash was peared until it had the shape of a hurl then the hurl was put into a warm place and after six months it was taken out.
