  1. Mr. Fallon was the last local landlord in the district. There a woman in the estate before him called Mrs. Jerrid, who was very wicked. About eighty years the family was settled in the district. They were all bad land-lords except Mr. Fallon who was very charitable.
    Mrs. Jerrid evicted about one hundred people in this district. The evicted people emigrated.
    It is not known how the land-lords first got possession of the land.
    Mr. Fallon sold half the property to the Congested District's Board and farms were divided. Farms were sub-divided among members of families on marriages. Halves were made of the holdings.
    Heavy rent was put on bad land at that time. They were no punished for trivial acts. Thithes were collected in the district by a baliff for the land-lord.
    Whether the tenants paid the rent or not if the land-lord did not like them, they would be evicted.
