  1. Potatoes are grown in my farm.
One acre of land is sown under potatoes each year. My father prepares the ground. The ground is not manured before it is ploughed. The potatoes are mostly sown in ridges and where the land is very dry they are sown in drills.
The ridges are made with the plough and six scrapes of the plough are put in each ridge.
The spades used are bought in the shop.
The potatoes are cut into pieces each piece having an eye.
The local people do not help in sowing the potatoes only where there is no help.
