    1. There are four corners on my bed,
    There are four angels on them spread,
    Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
    God bless me on the bed that I lay on.
    2. If a person were going on a journey, the people of the house would say, "God speed you and send you safe over your journey".
    3. When getting up in the morning we say "Thanks be to God who brought you safe over the night".
