This minced potato was put into a clean cloth and the juice squeezed out of it. Then the pulp was mixed with flour and baked in a pan.A cross is always put on top of the cake to prevent the crust from falling off the cake. Bread was often baked on a griddle. Griddle bread is considered very wholesome.
