  1. It is lucky to start any work on the farm, or any place, on a Friday.
    The people that start any new work on Saturday, is said that they will never finish it. Also if a person was changing into a new house it is lucky to change on a Friday.
    The people never like to sow cabbage when the moon is full, if they do, it is said that the plants will grow wild.
    It is an old custom among the people of this place not to give away money, or milk, or food, or any thing for nothing on the first of the new year, or on the first Monday of the new year.
