  1. Long ago there were landlords in every district. Mr Blake was the landlord of this district. He lived in Kilconely Mr Kennedy was hearding for him.
    When Mr Blake died the land was taking over by the Irish land Commison and was divided amongst the people.
    The landlords were very crule with the people. If they would not pay their rent twice a year. The baliffs would come and avict them. They used to bring sheep cattle horses or cows with them when they would be going if the people would have any stock. They used to rise the rent every year. If anybody would go working at that time for the landlords. They would pay fivepence or sixpence a day They would have to do a good days work or else they (wol) would not pay them atall.
