  1. In this district there are not any blessed wells. The nearest well is Killbannon. It is said that when St Patrick was in Killbannon he visited a well and knelt to take a drink. The track of his knees are still there and people say that grass will never grow in it. The well is in a field by the roadside. The is a statue of St Patrick on the roadside. It was knocked down a few years ago but the people have it fixed up again.
