  1. I got my information from Honor Mannion, a woman about 70 years of age, who lives in Anach, 4 miles north of Tuam.
    On the 1st March people began the ploughing one time.
    In the month of June on a Friday people began the building of new houses and on a Friday in October they brought in the furniture.
    After St. Patrick's Day they sowed the cabbage.
    On Good Friday they cut one sod of turf and sowed three potato slits.
    Cincíse is the time between Ascension Thursday and Corpus Christi During Cincíse people do not like to start any particular work. On the day before Ascension Thursday people wash the sheep.
    On May Day people do not like to give out milk to others.
