  2. I heard this story from Patrick Mannion Kilcreeanty, who is over seventy years of age. Kilcreevanty is about 5 miles north of Tuam.
    There were three old schools in this district. One of them was opposite the present Crossroads National School. The teacher's name was Mr. Michael Moran. The second school was held in Collin's out-houses two hundred yards from Michael Moran's school. Mrs Walsh was teaching in the second school. The third school was held in Kilgevrin also in a farmer's out-house. The teacher's name was Mark Roche.
