  1. The old people tie a red string onto the cows tail after calfing because they say if you don't do this the fairies will bring the cow.
    Another thing the old people do when they are churning they put a coal under the churn to burn the fairies if they come.
    If you give out milk on May day the fairies will bring the cow or if yo throw out ashes the house will be burnt in the morning.
