  1. The ploughs that were out long ago were different to the ploughs that are out now. All the ploughs were made of wood with iron socks. The reason the wooden ploughs were out was that there was not much iron to make iron ploughs.
    The old people used to buy one pound of iron and a pound of steel and bring it to the blacksmith and get the spades made
