  1. A flu raged through the county the time of the famine which caused much damage.
    The time of the famine the people had no potatoes, that led to many sickness "one" which was called "Fear Gorta". The people used have to roast the meat to put it to their mouths, to take it away. They used to eat "Indian meal" also.
